Eco printed 100% Silk Satin Twist Headbands Yellow
These headbands are a little piece of luxury! Handmade from 100% silk satin they have each been individually dyed and eco printed with a range of botanicals and fresh flowers from my dye garden. They are elasticated for ease of wear and look and feel great.
For the yellow bands the fabric is first dyed with the ancient dye of weld, a biennial grown in my garden. I then picked a range of seasonal dye flowers to eco print the flower patterns. For these I’ve used Coreopsis, Orange Cosmos, Black Scabious, Onion Skin, Marigold, Madder and Logwood. I then stitch them into the elasticated twist headband.
The yellow just captures the warmth of a summer’s day and is perfect for the beach or a party. They will come beautifully wrapped and boxed.
Can be gently hand washed with an eco detergent and softener and ironed on cool.
